Extended Christmas

After Christmas, Gavin and I were able to go to California to visit family there. We saved the presents for eachother until after Christmas, so the kids could open them together. Just extending the joy.

We always eat at our favorite places when we visit, (even though I gain 10 pounds everytime I come).

Christmas

Christmas Eve we got together with the family and had a Christmas dinner at Aunt Tammy's house. Christmas morning Shane and I waited until 8 for Gavin to wake up and then we opened presents. Gavin got an Ipod touch and some video games. He said it was the best Christmas ever. Which I believe he says each year.
The dogs got a stocking too!

Football

Gavin and Shane took a road trip to Las Vegas for the BYU vs. Oregon St football game. They had yucky roads on the way and ran into a few blizzards on the way back, but are home safe. They said it was freezing and a lot of fans left early because of the weather. Even with frozen body parts they had a blast.

10 More Pounds

Tis the season to eat. Gavin and I made sugar cookies yesterday and I tried to give them away so I wouldn't eat so many. But I did anyway. I think this month I will have gained at least 10 more pounds. Just waiting for January so I can start my new year resolution....again.

Saturday fun

Today we went to the museum with the Larson's to make some candles. It was pretty fun, I thought, but a little unorganized. They got to start from the beginning and see how they are formed.

On the way home we stopped at the park that is called "Fantasy of Lights" and drove around to check out all the lights.

Tonight Gavin made a gingerbread house and tree. He was very creative with both and had lots of fun.

Luminarias

Tonight we bundled up and went out with the Larson's to the college to walk around and look at the luminarias they have set up. The Red Cross was serving yummy hot chocolate. It was cold, but very beautiful.

I couldn't hold the camera still enough for it not to be blurry, but you can get the jist.

Turkey day festivities. Well all we did was gobble till we wobbled. We gathered with the family at the Larson's and enjoyed yummy food. I'm still stuffed.

We started out this month with a leafless "Thankful Tree". Today we finished putting our leaves on with the things we are thankful for. It was very easy at the beginning of the month to think of things and harder toward the end. But we all came up with things to write down. We hope everyone has things to be thankful for this holiday season. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Albuquerque Trip

This weekend we took a trip to Albuquerque to buy some ski passes, shop, go to the zoo, and watch Morgan in her tournament game.

Our first stop on Friday night was to one of our favorite eating places, Panda Express

On Sat, we watched one of Morgan's games and then went to the zoo. It was great weather and not crowded. The animals were great. The elephants, orangutans, and giraffes had cute little babies. The lion was giving us a show. And the poor seals were lonely. They would come swim by the window and rub their bellies on it like they wanted to be petted.

Morgan won all 3 of her games and they won the tournament. It is always fun and exciting to watch her play! Good job Morgie!

This picture has a story.

Here are the rules:
*Open your first photo folder.
*Scroll down to the 10th picture. (if you dont have 10 in that one, then go to the next folder that does).
*Post that photo and the story behind that photo on your blog.
*Tag 5 friends to do the same

The story on this picture.

This is the 10th one on this computer. It was from our fun trip to Cali in July. We were at Newport Beach with my sister and nieces. That is Gavin, Heather, and Jenna doing some boogie boarding. Really that is them, although you can't tell. They look lost in the big sea.

So I tag the only 5 people I know with a blog that might read this.

*Katie
*Melissa B
*Michelle S.

Come on you know it would be fun to see your random picture. Don't let me down. :)
