Halloween

Gavin dressed up as Pumpkin Head this year and headed out with his friend to trick or treat. He scored with the loot. We didn't have many trick or treaters at our house and have lots of left over candy.

Gallup Tournament

This weekend Gavin had a football tournament in Gallup. Their first game was against Bayfield, CO. They lost in the regular season, but beat them this time 19-13 in OT. The second game they lost to Cortez, CO in the regular season and this tournament. The third game they played Aztec for 3rd place. They lost to Aztec in the regular season, but beat them 32-7. They did a great job and took 3rd. Gavin made 4 more touchdowns, to end the season at 22.

Cub Scouts

Gavin received his Arrow of Light for cub scouts.

He now moves up to Boy Scouts.

Colors

Just driving by the park dropping Gavin off at football and noticed the sun coming through off the pond the the colors.

Growth Chart

I finally did it. I've wanted to make one of these for so long before Gavin grows past this. I got a 4" x 6' board and painted it white. Then got out my cricut and cut vinyl numbers out. I am so not the painter. I wanted somewhat straight lines. So this is great because you can take it with you.

The leaves are falling, the weather is getting colder.

But the grass is still green on this side.

Zoo Day

Gavin and I went to Albuquerque with Shane for the day. Shane had a class he needed to take and Gavin and I were going to go play. Shane's class was canceled, so he got to play with us too. We went to the zoo. The weather was perfect. The leaves are changing and are so pretty. The animals were relaxed and fun to watch. It was a great day!

Field Trip

Today I went with Gavin on a field trip with his class down to Berg Park. They had their annual storytelling festival. Storytellers from all over come and tell a few stories. They were very entertaining and fun!

Playoff Game

Saturday was Gavin's playoff game against Pagosa. We did have a pretty drive up to Cortez. Pagosa was 7-1. Their only loss was to our team, so we knew we could beat them. Gavin's team was doing really well the first half, and then they fell apart. Needless to say they didn't win, but Gavin scored 3 more touchdowns. So he was happy with the season.

Of course they wanted to win, but there is always next season.

Watermelon

Maybe one of the last warm days this year, we went outside and enjoyed the season ending watermelon.

I love watermelon.

It reminds me of summer, picnics and childhood.

Hopefully Gavin will have these reminders too.

Football TD

Last game of the season was against Kirtland. The boys did really well. Gavin scored two tds, bringing his total to 15. They won and made it to the playoffs. So we'll see if he can get anymore.

Birthday Party

Tonight Gavin had a few friends over for his birthday party.

They played football, had water balloon fights, played Xbox, and watched some college football.

We were lucky that Morgan was home for the weekend from school, so she and Brycen stopped by.
