Thankful - Part 3

16. Friends - I don't have many, but the ones I do have are the best. I'm grateful they keep in touch with me even though I am horrible at it.
17. Baptism - I have to say I am grateful for this, especially this week when Gavin will be baptized. He is so excited and I'm not sure he really knows fully what it means. What a blessing.
18. Church building - As I was sitting in church yesterday, I was thinking how we take our meeting house for granted and how special it is to go to a place to gather.
19. Winter - I think I'm thankful for all the seasons, but since winter is upon us, I have to say I love the crisp mornings when we run from the house to the warmed up car to go to school.
20. Hot cocoa and marshmellows - We had these last night when it was cool. It makes you feel warm and fuzzy to sit and drink cocoa with family.
21. Friday nights - This is the best night of the week. You can relax, stay up late, have fun and sleep in the next day

Gavin's First

Okay this is gross, but exciting for Shane and Gavin. Gavin went on a hunt this last weekend in Texas and shot his first buck. At least they took pictures on this trip.
He is showing where he shot it.

This is Gavin and his friend Sophie, who went with them.

Thankful List - Part Deux

8. My bed - I have always thought about having a nice warm bed to sleep in and that some people aren't as lucky to have one every night, especially like tonight when it is cold and windy. The last thing you do at the end of the day is get into bed and get comfortable.
9. The Gospel - I'm one of the lucky ones who have grown up in the gospel and know that I am a daughter of Heavely Father. To know that He loves me no matter what. To know that all the yuckiness and evil in the world will end someday.
10. Our jobs - I'm grateful to have our jobs to take care of our family.
11. Music - I'm thankful for all kinds of music that can uplift you, help you express yourself, or make you really think about things.
12. My nieces and nephews - I love having so many of them! They keep me young.
13. Holidays - I'm thankful for all the holidays we get to celebrate. It brings back good memories of growing up and having happy times during the holidays.
14. My hubby - I know I said my family in the beginning, but I have to say a special thanks for my hubby, who still loves me and makes me laugh after almost 19 years.

Thankful List

We are taking the challenge of writing what we are thankful for this month, but we are doing a weekly list.

We are thankful for:
1. Our family - Many blessings come from having our family. We wouldn't trade the experiences for anything(even though we complain sometimes). We are so grateful to have a big family.
2. Our home - We are grateful that we have a nice warm and safe place to come home to.
3. Our freedom - It is a great opportunity to explain to Gavin what our freedom means, especially in an election year.
4. Our troops - Along with our freedom we know it wouldn't be possible without the men and women serving our country to continue giving us these freedoms that we sometimes take for granted.
5. Our health - We have been blessed in our immediate family to be healthy. We sometimes don't stop and recognize this unless we know someone who gets sick. We pray each day for Grandpa that he will overcome his illness.
6. Our Fuzz - Gavin told me to say that, but we are very thankful for him. He is the best present Shane and I have ever received. I thank Heavenly Father everyday that I'm privileged to have him in our lives.
7. Computer - Gavin says we are thankful for the computer so we can post on our blog.

Leaf Raking

We love how our tree changes colors in the fall, but we are not sure about the raking of the leaves. Gavin usually helps each year and has some fun while doing it.

Happy Halloween

Gavin and I had fun dressing up and trick or treating. Gavin was a football player and I dressed up as Sara Palin. It was very interesting. We got too much candy. It was great to trick or treat with Gavin and watch him enjoy it.
