Spring Activities

Feb = Gavin was invited to state again this year for wrestling. He did really well, but didn't place.  Goals for next year!

March = Elijah got his call for his mission to San Jaun, Costa Rica.  He will leave in June.  

April = Gavin also got his license.  He is legal to drive now.  Look out!

New Year 2016

So pretty much every Jan through April for the last 6 years, my life consists of taxes.  Not much time to do anything else during that time. But I try to still have a family life.

New Year

No late staying up for us. We are early to bed people.

We did stay up for New Year's in New York, but that was about it.  

By the time it came our way, we were fast asleep.

We have had a blessed 2013 and hope to have the same in 2014 and wish

everyone many blessings for a prosperous new year!

Christmas

Christmas Eve was spent having family dinner at Aunt Tammy's.

We had a yummy sit down dinner with most of the family.

Christmas day we woke Gavin up.

No early rising for him.

We opened a few presents and had a nice relaxing day.

We are blessed to not need anything and wish that for everyone.

Old Fashion Christmas

This year we decided to have an Old Fashion Christmas party. We invited a few friends over to have a traditional dinner.  We had a goose, yorkshire pudding, brussels sprouts, chestnut stuffing, parsnips and figgy pudding.

Wrestling Season

Since Gavin is in 7th grade at Hermosa, he was able to wrestle for the school  He had a pretty good season.  He wrestled 8th graders that were stronger than him, but he did well.  Looking forward to next year.

Hunting Time

Fall time is prime time for hunting too.  Shane, Gavin and Sam got to go on elk hunt and were successful.  Gavin and Shane hunted for deer too.  They also go on the wild goose hunt with their friend, Legrand.  We call him Uncle Legrand.

Visiting Morgan in AZ

During the fall time, Gavin and I took a couple trips to Arizona to visit Morgan while she is away playing soccer and going to school at Mesa Community College.  It was great weather and we had lots of fun watching Morgan, swimming at the hotel, going to yummy places to eat (had to hit a few food trucks), going to an ASU vs. Washington Huskies game (had 2nd row seats) and jumping on trampolines.  Best time to visit Arizona is in the fall

                     

Birthday Weekend

For Gavin's birthday we took him up to Durango to watch a college game, Ft. Lewis vs. Western NM.  We got to meet their famous coach, John L. Smith, who has coached at a lot of D1 schools.  Then we went to the Red Snapper and had a great dinner. Sunday morning Gavin woke up and broke out of his room.  He got an iPhone C for his birthday and was really excited.  He requested Oreo and Lemon cupcakes and he helped me make an apple pie.  We had tacos for dinner and enjoyed dessert.  Happy 13th birthday, Fuzzy!

Hunting

Shane was hunting down in the Zuni mountains for a week.  I took Sam and Gavin down to hunt with him and hang out at camp.  We went exploring and found cool stuff, like an old homestead with an out house, a tree swing and lots of beauty.  We kept warm at night with our cozy campfire.  

Football

Football season is under way.  This is Gavin's last year in the youth football league.  He will play in middle school next year.  They have lost a few players this year and aren't doing very well.  Of course I think Gavin is doing great.  He gets some bumps and bruises.  And we love that family comes to support him.  He is well loved.
