Nothing exciting to report for the New Year. We went to bed early and didn't ring in the new year with anything but snoring. The boys got up early to head out for hunting. I think we were all tired from staying up late during Christmas break. Back to school in a few days and off to work for tax season. So we wish everyone a.....
Made some goodies and delivered them. I ate half of them. Guess the diet will start in January. (This sounds familiar). Drug Gavin and my chair outside for a picture in the snow. He was a good sport.
Our little town was showing a performance a of the Nutcracker with help from the Russian Ballet. Some of the local young girls got to dance with them. Gavin was familiar with the music, so I took him to show him what it was from. I enjoyed it, but Gavin not so much. Oh well, I think we need to go see a big production with an orchestra. Maybe someday if I can get him to go again.
I trimmed the trees today. Not sure what that means. Trees being plural, because yes, I have 3 trees. I know I've gone overboard. But it is just so festive. Speaking of festive, my dog helped me decorate too. I'm on top of my Christmas cards. I have them all ready to go. I guess I should get on top of my shopping. I have done nothing to date.
Thanksgiving weekend we got to spend in sunny California with family. It was a nice relaxing weekend. We (I mean me) ate too much, of course. We hung out, played video games and went to the beach. Gavin and Shane went to visit Hollywood on their way to watch USC vs UCLA. They had a great time seeing Jimmy Hendrix and watching USC win.
We were so sad to leave the nice warm weather and family behind.
